Be exposed to the understanding of how to create an environment for games and films. Learn the rules of lighting, composition, and designing an exterior and interior. Students will have a solid foundation of how to generate their design space thinking about camera angles and lighting.

Instructor: Esther Wu Concept Artist & Instructor
Esther Wu is currently a concept artist at High Moon Studios working on the Call of Duty franchise, and has been working in the entertainment industry for the last 5 years. She first started with two internships, one at Muse Games, an indie studios in NYC and then Sony Online Entertainment (now Daybreak) on Planetside 2. Following graduation at the Savannah College of Art and Design, she worked at Turn10 on Forza 6 as a concept artist, and then worked at 2K Games as a marketing artist for Mafia III and Battleborn. She has freelanced in between for studios and companies such as Ironklad, Hasbro, Super Evil Megacorp, and Wizards of the Coast.

Focus: Becoming a better environment designer.  Learn the basics of lighting, composition and story telling for video games and film.

Prerequisite: PBC, WB1, DC1 / Recommended
