FIG2 - Advanced Figure Drawing

Become a more advanced figure drawer. In this course, you will develop your skills in anatomy, poses and proportions to a more depth understanding.  This course will guide you through 10 weeks of drawing live from models, critiques and draw overs.

Instructor: Steven Hampton, Instructor
Steven Michael Hampton is an artist and educator in the fields of drawing, anatomy, and two- dimensional design. He has lectured and led workshops at private companies and schools such as Anatomy Tools, Blizzard Entertainment, CGMA, IDEA Academy, and Lucas Arts. Steven has exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and has additionally curated exhibitions in Los Angeles relating to themes of kitsch, monuments, and mourning, including Super-Salon (Flagstop), Traumatic Materiality (Autonomie), and Savage Sentimentality (Torrance Art Museum). For several years he was a board member of the Foundation for Art Resources (FAR), helping to organize Pacific Non-Standard Time: FAR 1977-Present, among other projects.

Focus: Becoming a Better Figure Drawer

Prerequisite: PBC, FND1/ Recommended

Materials: Traditional Medium, drawing board, pencils (charcoal, eraser)
