This is an introductory class to learn the basics of character design. The course concentrates on the core design fundamentals, such as silhouettes, poses, variations and more, to create memorable character/creatures for video game and film industry.

Michael Blackbear Uwandi is currently a concept artist working in the video game and film industry. Currently he is working on unannounced Star Trek project and freelances for HBO on Westworld. Michael is a part of the Costume Designers Guild. Character design is his passion. Prior to industry work Michael attended Art Center College of Design in the Entertainment Illustration Major. Since leaving school he has worked on a variety of projects including Maleficent 2, Orville, Star Trek, Marvel Strike Force, The Walking Dead Game and more. Past Clients include- Disney, Sony Pictures, 21st Century Fox, FoxNext, Kabam, Red 5, Scopley, High-Voltage, Mattel, Mirada, HBO, MPC, Paramount and several others.
Focus: Becoming a Better Character Designer
Prerequisite: PBC, AD1, DC1, FIG1 / Recommended
